Thanks for doing due diligence! I noticed a definite change there a number of years a go. They used to be great-saved the life of my cat, and didn’t push additional care. A few years later, the whole vibe had changed. Old (caring and talented) staff had left. Blue Pearl/Mars are cooling out employment opportunities for all in the field.
I travel to Walpole to excellent care in a longtime private practice….Windhover. I go to Woburn for specialty care. I pray these practices outlive my dog! > On Aug 13, 2024, at 2:43 PM, Kathy Madison via Lincoln > <lincoln@lincolntalk.org> wrote: > > I heard from someone in Minnesota who said "Blue Pearl has bought out most > all of the emergency animal hospitals and built lavish buildings, all paid > for by the exorbitant fees they charge. > There is only one privately owned pet hospital left…” > > I know there’s a “Blue Pearl” in Waltham ... > > That got me thinking. > > So I checked it out. > > Blue Pearl is owned by Mars Veterinary Health > > Which is a division of Mars Petcare > > Which is a division of Mars … yup! the candy maker, dog food maker, etc…. > > Hmmmm > > <Image 8-13-24 at 2.40 PM.jpeg> > -- > The LincolnTalk mailing list. > To post, send mail to Lincoln@lincolntalk.org. > Browse the archives at https://pairlist9.pair.net/mailman/private/lincoln/. > Change your subscription settings at > https://pairlist9.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/lincoln. > -- The LincolnTalk mailing list.
