Nice to hear about the fascinating direct connection between Tucker
Smith's family and The Boston Tea Party and her family's historic records
which were discussed in a recent The Boston Globe piece.
Outside of coverage in The Boston Globe there was also an Instagram
post made yesterday (the 18th of December) by the account of The New
England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS), which as all of you or many
of you may know has its headquarters on Newbury Street in Boston. The
Instagram post yesterday was made by The NEHGS's account
"americanancestors" and its post shared two pictures and the following
caption beneath the photos: "*americanancestors *Last Sunday, our
genealogists conducted workshops during the Boston Tea Party Descendants
Meet and Greet organized by the @BostonTeaPartyShips. One highlight of the
day occurred when Tucker Smith, a descendant of Boston Tea Party leader
Lendall Pitts, shared a remarkable find: a well-preserved binder filled
with handwritten receipts and documents dating back to the late 18th
century. The collection was passed down through several generations before
