Alex and Lincoln Community,
To start it is Hanscom Civil Terminal in which you are directing your
protest, part of Hanscom Military Base which houses many of our soldiers and
their families who serve our country. Hanscom also employs civilian employees
who work on the base and the Civil Terminal providing jobs, MIT Labs of which I
know several Lincoln residents work for and the Boston MedFlight which serves
much of this region are just a couple employers.
Protest is part of the freedoms we enjoy in the United States of America
and if Climate Change is something folks would like to be an activist for and
the abolition of fossil fuels I encourage all those passionate to attend and
make your voices known using your rights as a US Citizen. But I would like to
ensure that when discussing the subject it is with all the information so an
honest discussion can be had regarding Climate Change and your specific use of
those who are still suffering in Lahaina.
The tragedy in Lahaina was due to two important circumstances and several
oversights and failures by local and State officials as well as the Hawaiian
electric company. The facts should be known several scientists forewarned that
the environment of non-native vegetation which had not been brush cleared was
ripe for such a wildfire to take place. The other important fact is the fire is
to have started by ELECTRICAL wires which had been giving the electric company
warnings due to the high winds which were occurring from a storm off the
Islands throughout the day but went ignored. The local water department ( State
of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources, Commission of Water
Resource Management; M. KALEO MANUEL, DEPUTY DIRECTOR) also did not release the
water quickly enough because of the red tape to clear the current standards of
water conservation put in place by the same climate activists who are screaming
climate change.
I have several links below not from some right wing conspiracy news agency
to confirm the information above so as to not have to fight about the actual
facts. It gets to be very dangerous when the people who are claiming everyone
else is lying about climate change are actually using misinformation in a
tragedy where lives were lost NOT to climate change but to plenty of
incompetence by the people who run the State of Hawaii and the Electric Company
that so many want us to be completely reliant on, with no options for natural
gas and fossil fuels like a combustion engine which does not to be hooked up to
an electric grid and put more stress on an unstable source of energy that is
not on renewable energy but also has to rely on FOSSIL FUELS to power the
electric grid. (Yes I know the run on sentence will make some scream I am
uneducated on the subject).
So while you want to use Maui and Lahaina as a point of refence to Climate
Change it is actually not giving a solution to a problem put in place by
policies supported by Climate Activists. Such as more reliance on an unstable
electrical grid with no stable infrastructure or source and the lack of clear
cutting of brush which is part of forest and land management that is NOT
supported by the current Administration or Governor Healy. And also the lack of
transparency when you have groups who offer reliable claims forewarning a
potential disaster but goes unanswered by the State of Hawaii officials. Those
officials ignored scientists because it did not fit their narrative, a
dangerous game when you make a claim that a disaster due to incompetence and
negligence is being used to support a Climate Change agenda.
So I encourage those who protest to do so but at least do your due diligence
and research what you are being told by all groups pushing an agenda, whether
you agree with my view is irrelevant but we should all be given all the correct
information with facts and not feelings.

Are you scared and sad about what's happening to the climate? Freaked out
over the intensity of the storm last Friday? Heartbroken about the deaths from
wildfire in Lahaina? Want to take a small action to oppose a massive expansion
of an already staggering source of carbon pollution in our local region?
Each Tuesday from 4:00pm to 5:30 we gather at 180 North Great Road, Lincoln,
the Paul Revere Capture Site in the Historic Park, with signs and banners to
show our opposition to the Massport proposed expansion of private jet
facilities at Hansom Field. We will provide the signs and banners, so just
come and park in the designated lot. If it's raining or thunder storms are
predicted, the protest may be canceled. Feel free to email or call if you have
questions.
For more information about the North Airfield Project and the climate impacts
of private luxury jets, check our http://www.spje.org
While you are there, please sign the petition to Governor Healey,
https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/spje/ the only elected official who may
have the power to cancel this unnecessary and dangerous project.
