Yesterday, I spoke with the delightful regular clerk from the Station post office as she was locking up the Center PO.
I inquired about the risk of closure for the Center PO. She reported that the USPO was installing (investing in) 'the new system" for transactions at the Center PO, and expected to have open window hours in the Fall when outbound volume (?) was high. One forcing factor was that a staff member was hired to be in the Center, though he is often recalled to fill in at the Station PO. Steve Kropper
