We are a fan of Konditor Meister in Quincy. We get a lot of our 'everyday' sweets and most special occasion cake orders including birthday celebration cakes (and cupcakes for classmates!).
I'd characterize it as 'European style' in that they favor buttercream instead of frostings for most of its cakes/sweets. You can try them out buy just buying their regular desserts...and they routinely have ready-made cakes of a range of flavors that are in the store for walk-ins.
