I have a couple of questions about installing solar panels on our roof. 1) can anyone recommend a contractor? 2) what is the deal with any present or future roof repairs underneath the solar panels?
My concern is, our roof is about 10 years old, so hopefully right in the middle of its useful life. So what happens with the solar panels if/when the roof needs repair or replacement? What if I get a leak under the solar panels? I had originally thought that we would wait to put on solar panels until the roof needed replacing, but all things considered I don't want to wait another 5-10 years. Thanks! Virginia
