Hi All. Our 2018 refrigerator has died (prematurely!) of a gas leak. This follows years of poor performance keeping temperatures. So we're looking to buy a new one. American Appliance has recommended Whirlpool but we've learned that the one we have, although a Kenmore brand, was actually made by Whirlpool. In our search, the only model we've found that meets our needs looks like the exact same item. So, I'm wondering what brands and models folks recommend. Requirements are: at least 21 sq.ft. side-by-side with in-door ice and water dispensers. Also, we're looking for a lower-end item. We are especially interested in stories about warranty repair success/failure of various brand warranties.
