I had recently shared an article from a 1984 land use conference publication. Bob Lemire was a critical participant and authored a piece on Lincoln’s land conservation and planning efforts and the formation of the Rural Land Foundation. He understood how to build a partnership between the public and private sector to achieve community goals. It was innovative then, and still is today.
