Our family used a 120 v outlet for 18 months. It was during the pandemic we installed the level 2 because everyone wanted to drive the electric car since it wasn’t tied up all day in a distant parking lot (avoiding the gas stations was a plus too). We find we only need it on rare occasions but it’s nice to know it's there. Belinda
