To me, the issue is ongoing debates where those involved are fully
entrenched in their views.   A forum like this is good for exchanging
viewpoints and ideas and all kinds of other things.  I don't think it's an
appropriate place when the main objective is to just debate.

>From what I can tell, the moderators have been pretty judicious about
shutting things down and I fully support them when things just keep going
back and forth and spiralling off the original topic.
