Thank you, Sarah Mattes, for posting a link to the wonderful "Townies" film celebrating Lincoln's early history. I loved the stories as well as the purity of the Boston dialect shared by the speakers. (My parents---both from Malden, sounded exactly the same!) I think my home on Old County Road may have been mentioned in the film. A woman named Jacqueline Ferro describes her grandparents as owning a pig farm on Old County that was eventually moved up the hill after the property was taken by eminent domain to construct the Cambridge Reservoir. I think this is our house. Does anyone know if this lovely woman is still with us? I'd love to chat with her or someone else in her family to learn more.
Thanks!Betty
