@6:45pm: Boston Post Cane Awards - In 1909, Lincoln was given one of about 400 ceremonial canes commissioned by the Boston Post newspaper as a way to generate publicity. The canes were to be awarded to the oldest registered voter in town. Lincoln still has the original cane on display in Bemis Hall, along with plaques naming the recipients. Two replica canes were awarded in 2015 and on Monday the Select Board will award two more!
