Moira,

The Housing Choice Act specifies that the multi-family zone must be within
a 1/2 mile of the station.

It's important to keep in mind that the HCA is about *zoning* for
multi-family. It does not require that the town produce the housing.

The planning board and town land use staff are studying the draft
regulations; it will take some time to understand what our options are. Any
zoning change requires a vote of town meeting. Should the planning board
recommend that we fully comply with the HCA there will be public meetings
and public hearings on any proposed zoning changes prior to the town
meeting vote.
