The subject line conflates and suggests equivalence between VAERS and
OPENVAERS, while the body of the original post points only to the
latter, thus presenting the latter as a validated resource. It should be
understood that the two are entirely different. The former is an
official government site that has among many other things raw data
available based on a particular kind of reporting system, while the
latter is a privately run site, pulling data from the former and
presenting in a variety of summary formats put together by that site's
operator(s).
VAERS (https://vaers.hhs.gov/) is the official site and provides a
variety of explanations about the data and event reporting. It has a
disclaimer about the data collected. Prior to a visitor to the site
either downloading the raw data or searching via CDC Wonder, one is
supposed to read and check the disclaimer.
Openvaers is a privately run site. Note the following:
1. While disclaimer information is present, it is backgrounded and
obfuscated, pushed to the periphery as a link to click.
2. Summary data is foregrounded and presented in a way to make it
appear as factual.
3. The site is privately run with no indication of who is doing the work.
1. Who is this private group
2. What are their credentials
3. How are they processing the base data
4. No explanation of what is a vaccine adverse event report?
VAERS data is useful to researchers, however it has been reported as
being misused/misinterpreted/misrepresented particularly as it relates
to COVID 19

I have found this site very useful. https://openvaers.com/ This
link explains OpenVaers.
There is now also a sub report BY STATE on the site that you might
find very useful as well:
https://openvaers.com/covid-data/adverse-events-by-state
<https://openvaers.com/covid-data/adverse-events-by-state>
An important caveat: that site has been widely misinterpreted, and
used by many to argue that there are a large number of injuries &
deaths caused by the COVID vaccine.
The official VAERS data is unfiltered, and a critical disclaimer is
posted on the site itself:

https://vaers.hhs.gov/data.html
Death or injury AFTER getting vaccinated does not automatically mean
that it was caused by the vaccine. As I told a friend: if you are
vaccinated and hit by a bus, the vaccine did not cause your injury.
And of course, he said, "/it sure did if you were coming from your
vaccination appointment!/" -- we all have smart-aleck friends.
Note: this is the first time in recent history that a new vaccine has
been rolled out to ~200m Americans (so far) in less than a year.
About 1% of Americans die every year (all causes), so there will be a
LOT of people dying after vaccination ... of the things people
normally die from.
