Dear all, we are looking for resources, historical information, and any recent ritual work to help us reconcile our national identity as it is expressed on "Thanksgiving," with the historical facts of our national treatment of indigenous peoples. In particular, stories of the people whose land we occupy now, here in Lincoln, and stories of any ways people have found to honor this day differently while still preserving the aspects of it that we treasure-family ties, gratitude, harvest celebration. I think there have been helpful discussions of this in the past on this listserve, and I am hoping to be redirected to those. Many thanks, Pat O'Malley The information in this e-mail is intended only for the person to whom it is addressed.
