I had two in my yard that I think had some kind of mites. One had chewed all the fur off of his tail and the other one had denuded about the top 2 inches. I saw him sitting on a fence post, scratching relentlessly and biting at his tail. I haven’t seen either one for a long time, so I assume they died. Poor creatures…
