HI all We feed our chickens organic feed (ouch) and whatever is left from the table. We supplement their feeding with a treat of sunflower seeds which they love. I began to realise that when they eat glyphosate in their sunflowers so do we so I started the hunt for good organic sunflower seeds or something like that. (ericksons grain mill, wonderful as they are, were not thinking of it yet). Whole Foods did not have anything too special and they leave all their bags of bird seed out in the direct sun on 90 degree days so the oils in the seed is probably going to be questionable (they were politely not interested when I mentioned it).. I found Clarkson Grain in Indiana which provides organic or transitional sunflower seeds and also other bird seed for all of you who care about what goes into our local birds, chickens or other wise. I am ordering our chicken treats from them and wanted to let you know.
