Hi all,

A little feedback for the Linaro Mini Summit on virtio-mmio.

There are a couple of items that GreenSocs should probably do, as we've done
much of the background work. Namely, right now, we are deep in the throws of
upstreaming the prerequisites for virtio-mmio to Qemu, then we'll move onto
virtio-mmio. That should be finished off (of course).
The next step is to actually use the Virtio-mmio within a platform (we can't
upstream our virtio-mmio unless we upstream something that uses it too), which
also involved sorting out the command line options and the device tree aspects
for the kernel. We already have some plans for this - so again, it makes sense
for us to continue there.

Note that virtio-mmio should work for ARM v8 too, once QEMU KVM works (- this
isn't mentioned on
https://wiki.linaro.org/LEG/Engineering/Virtualization/201302MiniSummit),
however, it's possible that platform may need updating.

In addition, we would be extremely happy to get involved in the other Qemu
related V8 work.

Cheers

Mark.
