Indeed, /dev/ttyAMA0 is missing from the rootfs; thanks for pointing this out. I've logged this problem on your behalf in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linaro-oe/+bug/1084037 > +CONFIG_DEVTMPFS_MOUNT=y This change might be too intrusive; we probably want to just patch our OE build to include the missing device node along the other ones.
