If it does TFTP and can be scripted then I don't mind.

Otherwise, if I'm going to still use U-Boot in the end then UEFI will be 
just an extra roundtrip into another to-be-despised bootloader in lack 
of visibility and attention since it'll do nothing but increase my 
kernel boot latency.

Did I mention already that I hate bootloaders?
