Hi,

(Sorry this is late, didn't hit Reply-All yesterday!)

For those who don't want a (hopefully) easier time creating images,
you can try a new tool in linaro-image-tools that hasn't made it into
the PPA yet:

bzr checkout lp:linaro-image-tools

In linaro-image-tools there are two scripts of interest. First off is
a simple command line script that will download the files for your
hardware and the OS you specify. The output will look familiar to
users of linaro-media-create :-) As an example, if you have a panda
board and want to test Ubuntu desktop you will want to run:
./fetch_image.py --hardware panda --image ubuntu-desktop --platform
snapshot --build latest --hwpack panda --mmc <path to your device>

If, like me, you prefer a GUI there is an option for you too. Running
fetch_image_ui.py will bring up a wizard that will guide you through
the process of creating an image. It requires wxPython
(python-wxgtk2.8).

I hope they are useful.

James
