Hi Simon, I had an idea, don't know if it could be useful: if we have four
stanzas, like

1. when ............ good.
2. If ................. maybe.
3. Sometimes ...  well.
4. So ................ try.

If we add at the third place a "phantom" line of text or stanza, 

1. when ............ good.
2. If ................. maybe.
HIDDEN ............ good
3. Sometimes ...  well.
4. So ................ try.

And make it invisible, or with a font turned to white, and make the font as
small as it's possible, couldn't it be a trick to center the  {
\lyricsbeforebrace \rightbrace \lyricsfrombrace } ? Just my 2 cents. Thanks.
