Davide Liessi (17.06.2014) : Some packaging problems were reported ([1]): - lack of MIDI support (PortMIDI was not included), - impossibility to run convert-ly and musicxml2ly (the wrong Python interpreter was used for the scripts bundled in LilyPond.app).
During the last days I was able to fix these problems (at least on my machine). Hello Davide, I did a bit of testing with this on a relatively clean 10.9.3 machine. By "clean", I mean that the machine has never had MacPorts or Homebrew installed on it. So your standalone app is truly "standing alone". MIDI playback seems to be working fine. I tested using SimpleSynth. I tried convert-ly once and it ran without error, although there was nothing to convert and it said "The document has not been changed". I imported a MusicXML file and it did not produce any errors. Previously, I think it was hardcoded to look for something in "/opt/local" (MacPorts) and was throwing an error when it couldn't find it. So, success according to my experience. Thanks for your efforts. Regards, -- Jeff
