You are right, and I am definitely not a fan nor in agreement with clusters and other types of graphical notation, but I am working for people who do favor them, and I need to be able to do at least some of it (I draw the line at hand-drawn graphs like Crumb and Cage, where even the publishers wouldn't touch it). But, this kind of notation is really useful for outlining general cues in pre-recorded tracks (hence my email). But, I understand if this has "never" been asked before; It would be cool to see where LilyPond takes in that direction. We definitely have competition; Finale 2014 can apparently "do it all" and can compose stuff like George Crumb stuff. Has anyone thought about this? About advanced Contemporary Music?
