This probably breaks the MIDI but here my target is only the printed score. These are all great points, thanks. As an aside, I've been using the gmane interface to post these messages and replies; sending them through email (at Hotmail) doesn't seem to work (it gives me a Delivery Status Notification - Failure.) I tried logging on to the mailing list website, and was successful. I even changed some settings. But sending to the default address (lilypond-user@gnu.org) doesn't work.
