Dear LilyPond experts,

to make it short, I would like to reproduce the following:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Bild_Arpeggio_example.jpg
(This figure can also be found in the German wikipedia entry for "Arpeggio").

I am aware that this notation is basically wrong. If, as obviously intended, the
arpeggio is supposed to sound like a so-called "bell chord", the notes have to
be split into different voices in order to generate correct ties, right?

However, in this case it is (in my opinion) a much better (and also unambiguous)
solution to notate the arpeggio as in the above-given example. My question would
be: Is it possible to create "user-defined" ties that technically "skip"
subsequent notes? (I am almost sure this can be done in Sibelius, for instance).

It would be ideal if someone came up with a working piece of code that at least
visually reproduces the above-given example. Bonus points for a solution that
also generates correct MIDI output.

Thanks in advance,
Matthias
