BTW you should direct any bug reports to bug-lilyp...@gnu.org (see http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-lilypond)

Good afternoon.

I'm new to LilyPond and don't know my way around very well, so please
excuse my ignorance. The other day I used musicxml2ly.py to convert a
musicxml lead sheet file (Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer"). I noticed two significant inconsistencies in the converted file's LY code that I think I should report. Since musicxml2ly is still in development, is filing the
standard bug report all I need to do?
Yes.
By the way, LilyPond itself is still a work-in-progress :)

cheers,
Janek

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I'm acutely aware that LilyPond is a work-in-progress; I'm learning LY coding by running/debugging old (and some VERY old) Mutopia .ly files to get them working again (under version 2.14.1). Engaging in "software archeology" if you will ... :-))

Thanks again,
Ken
