Hello,
I'd like to try Frescobaldi into a GNOME environment, i.e. without
switching to KDE; is this possible at all? I guess a bunch of
libraries will need to be installed, but only if they are not
excessive I'd like to give it a try. It would be fine to hear from
experiences of users. Thanks!

I use Frescobaldi in GNOME all the time, in Ubuntu. It's been working
perfectly.
I just thought I would check out Frescobaldi from Debian and it won't
install without LilyPond stable version and a large number of KDE
packages. I always use the development version of Lily so the Debian
install is unacceptable for me.
