The patch may be relatively simple to implement. I'm currently thinking of a context property defaultStrings that would specify the strings to be used in calculating a tab when no string information is given for a particular note or chord. I'm also using a fingering of 0 to be an open string. I'm thinking that the fingering of 0 should not show up as a fingering anywhere. If that is not correct, where should a fingering of 0 be displayed?
