Here is what I do for arrows. Something like: \version "2.13.33" uparrow = \markup { \combine \arrow-head #Y #UP ##f \translate #'(0 . -2.5) \draw-line #'(0 . 2.5) } \score { c'1^\uparrow } James Worlton
