I've been using various SVG programs slurs around lyrics per the attached snippet. Inkscape, Scribus, and GIMP all do a good job, but each program has "issues" with creating multi-page PDF output. I am hoping there is a neat or sneaky way of doing this in LilyPond so I don't have to go through multiple conversions and edits.
