I have 29 16th-century madrigals in which "\set suggestAccidentals =##t" works just fine. What do you mean when you say "seems to be ignored"? Depending on your accidental style, you may need to add ! after the note name: GNU LilyPond 2.12.3 \set suggestAccidentals = ##t fis!4 \set suggestAccidentals = ##f Cheers!
