+1 This has been a thorn in my side for a LONG time — I end up manually tweaking the MetronomeMark #'X-extent (or MultiMeasureRest #'minimum-length) to compensate, but this is a pain in the @$$. I hope someone has a workaround… Sorry I couldn't help more than just saying "me, too".
