If I were you, I'd upgrade to 2.12.  2.12 is a stable version.  There will
be a 2.14, but 2.12 is so much better than 2.8 that you ought to give it a
shot, in my opinion.

I haven't checked the snippet in the docs; I was just referring to the
version in your file.  It's broken at least by missing a paragraph (or at
least is was when I copied it into my file; I think that may be why you got
the error you did.

But I think that it doesn't work right for large transpose values.
