Hmm.. That wasn't really my goal. Possibly something like this:
\tremolos #16 { {c2 d} {c d} }
Would become:
\repeat tremolo 4 {c16 d}
\repeat tremolo 4 {c16 d}
Is this what you were thinking of? This would get a bit more complicated.
