Hello lilypond list!
I report a problem by a user on the German forum:
He installed LilyPond 2.12 on Windows ME and invoked the program from
the command line. He got the following errors:
3 times:
Fontconfig warning:
no cachedir found (Dann folgt ein Ordnername und Pfad)
adding cachedir. fontconfig</cachedir>
error: out of memory
LILYPOND-WINDOWS verursachte einen Fehler durch eine ungültige Seite in
Modul
(LILYPOND-WINDOWS created a mistake with a bad page in module)
LILYPOND-WINDOWS.EXE bei 0187:005d388e.

This is really cryptical to me and seems like a real error. I tried
installing the program more than once. When run from the Desktop by drag
an drop he gets some complaints about pango in the log file:

PangoFc will not work correctly.
This probably means there was an error in the creation of:
'pango.modules'
You should create this file by running:
pango-querymodules > 'pango.modules'
(process:4294321031): Pango-WARNING **: failed to find shape engine,
expect ugly output. engine-type='PangoRenderFc', script='common'
(process:4294321031): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_fc_font_lock_face:
assertion `PANGO_IS_FC_FONT (font)' failed

Can anybody try an installation on ME and check if this is a problem of
the Windows version or only in this specific case?
