What does PNI mean? Anyway, I just went on the principle that "score is a single music expression". Frankly, I don't really understand that comment, but I use \transpose so rarely that I've never felt the need to experiment. Please do a few experiments and send a clarified warning... if a warning is needed at all. Who knows, maybe whatever the problem is has been fixed?
