since the snippet in the repository actually does not show a coda sign on the
coda line, i looked for an alternative to call a coda without having to
tweak the output excessively

the solution is to make 2 \scores: 

 - codaCall    at the end of the first score you call a function to define a
text like "D.S. alla coda"; this is put into the right context, visibility …

 - codaInsert in the second you redefine the global settings exactly like in
the first score but omitting the Time_signature_engraver and you define with
which barnumber to continue
