Hi guys!
I've finally been able to remotely replace the hard disk of my server
(it's 1600 km away, and it broke down on Aug 13, when EVERYTHING is
severely shut down in Italy). It moved to a read-only state because of
a bad block on the file system journal.
I'm very sorry for the nuisance this caused to all of you. It couldn't
have been a worse moment--around Ferragosto (Aug 15) the entire
country is on vacation. I mean, really everybody. Even the CS dept
closes down for two weeks.
In the meantime I solved some security problem related to the fact
that now tomcat doesn't run as root. You could be surprised to know
that most of the time I spend on LSR is to make it work under the ever-
changing Linux security policies :(.
Let me know if there are unsolved issues I forgot about!
Ciao,
seba
