Chapter 7.3.3 'Hyphens and extenders' mentions that "Centered hyphens are entered as ‘--’ between syllables.". IMHO this should be written as ` -- ´ (i.e hyphens being enclosed by spaces or tabs). See also Chapter 2.13 Printing lyrics.
