you can change the number of lines in the Staff so that some of them appear to be thicker. You do this by modifying the *line-positions* property of the Staff's StaffSymbol layout object.
Hi Victor, hi everybody, I think this is an excellent workaround (for a much useful feature); so I've just added it to the LSR. If anyone finds a way to make it different, e.g. change the color of a staff line, I'll complete the snippet.
