Sorry, in my last post both of those links were the
same. This is how it is now:

The other one was the way it used to be.

In LilyPond 2.9.10, vertical spacing with lyrics worked perfectly for me. I'm
not sure which version it changed in. I use the current development version
(2.11.18). Now, however, there seems to be a certain amount of vertical spacing
that cannot be removed (at least not in the same way).
Follow these links for examples of what I'm talking about:
How it used to be:

How it is now (and since at least version 2.11.12):

Anyway, this is what I've been doing to change the spacing (this still works -
it just won't get rid of that last little bit of spacing):
\layout
{
\context
{
\Lyrics
\override VerticalAxisGroup #'minimum-Y-extent = #'(-0.5 . 0.5)
}
}
Pretty much the same thing happens with I put straight zeros in for the values.
I'm using Windows 2000. I don't know if this is a bug, or if it is intentional
(but if it is intentional, I'd like to do it the old way, somehow, as it works
out much better for me, and is my preferred way of displaying lyrics 99% of the
time (it seems more compact, readable, and aesthetically appealing, to me).
