If you used the installer, you will find the emacs lisp files
in $PREFIX/lilypond/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp.

For me, the easiest way was to copy them to a directory
in my emacs lisp path and put 

(load "lilypond-init.el" nil t t)

in my .emacs file.
