I'm looking for a volunteer to do a small (although somewhat advanced) documentation project. This involves writing music functions. The chapter on music functions has just been almost totally rewritten, so it should be music easier to understand. This project would be a good exercise to help you learn this materal. :)

Anyway, we're phasing out \applyMusic in favor of #(define-music-function). The following six files (from the "tips and tricks" document) need to be rewritten to use music functions.
input/test/add-staccato.ly
input/test/add-text-script.ly
input/test/music-box.ly
input/test/reverse-music.ly
input/test/smart-transpose.ly
input/test/unfold-all-repeats.ly

The amount of time depends on how well you understand music functions; I personally would approach this as a way to learn more about advanced lilypond tweaks, rather than a documentation chore. Depending on how quickly you learn, I estimate that this project would take between 1 and 3 hours.

Cheers,
- Graham Percival, LilyPond Documentation Editor
