That's not an error. See the manual, Section 5.6: "convert-ly always converts up to the last syntax change handled by it. This means that the \version number left in the file is usually lower than the version of convert-ly itself." Apparently there have been no syntax changes since 2.7.40 (or at least none that convert-ly handles).
