OK. So summary: use \override for overriding almost all grob properties; use \overrideProperty only for properties belonging to those few grobs like Score.NonMusicalPaperColumn that are created *prior to* normal \override processing. Thanks for the explanation. -- Trevor Bača [EMAIL PROTECTED]
