*TL;DR:* I already knew and used *ly2video*, but my project focuses on SVG;
I’d love some minimal LilyPond support, but so far there’s little interest.
------------------------------

Thank you! I was indeed already aware of the *ly2video* project — I’ve even
used it before.
However, the entire point of my experiment was precisely to move from PNG
to SVG, so in that sense my approach diverges from *ly2video* quite early.

That said, your suggestion is very welcome: I hadn’t thought of looking at
how *ly2video* handled the issue of synchronization, given that LilyPond
outputs very little in that regard. I might dig into that, even if it's
just out of curiosity.

Unfortunately, *ly2video* hasn’t seen much activity in quite a while — and
as with many side projects, that’s often the risk: they may no longer be
actively maintained.

As for my own scripts, I deliberately kept them specific and non-reusable.
They’re not designed to be general-purpose tools, just functional
scaffolding to prove a point.

What I would truly love, though, would be to see if some minimal,
“homeopathic” changes could be introduced into LilyPond’s core — just
enough to make projects like this less hacky and more straightforward.

In any case, yours is the only response I've received so far, and while I
genuinely appreciate it, I wouldn't call it a groundswell of interest. So
I’ll probably let the idea rest for now.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply — it really does mean something.
