Thanks to Federico Bruni, I'm now up to date, but ...

Compiling a LilyPond script in Frescobaldi requires \version "2.24.4"
instead of the current 2.25.25 on my Fedora box. Is this normal?

The result is that the Frescobaldi PDF uses the default C059 (aka New
Century Schoolbook, a rather clunky font IMHO) instead of the Caslon
the script specified.

When I compile the script using LilyPond directly, I get the desired
Caslon. (I came to LilyPond from TeX, so I'm naturally fussy about
fonts.)

Is there an easy way to get the system LilyPond 2.25.25 and the
Flatpak Frescobaldi 4.0.0 to produce identical results?

I can, of course, use Frescobaldi for editing and LilyPond to produce
final copy.

Thanks!
Fred
