If you go to https://gitlab.com/lilypond/lilypond/-/releases/v2.24.4 I think you'll find that the Packages list gives you links to, in order: . the source, including that of the documentation, . pre-built LilyPond for macos, . pre-built LilyPond for linux, . pre-built LilyPond for windows, . pre-built documentation in html, info, man and pdf. Likely you already downloaded the third of these (but from http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.24/Documentation/web/download), so you want to download the first one in the list above, ie: https://gitlab.com/lilypond/lilypond/-/releases/v2.24.4/downloads/lilypond-2.24.4.tar.gz Cheers, David.
