I wonder whether it is expected that this simple input
```
{ c' }
\midi{}
```
doesn't create a MIDI file. I have to explicitly put everything into
a `\score` block to get that.
For me, this looks odd, and I couldn't find a hint in the
documentation for that behaviour.
